Privacy policy

This site is run by Daniel Holguin (dahc©), a freelance web designer and developer based in Medellín, Colombia. If you have a question about your data, write to hey@danielholguin.com.

What I collect and why

  • The contact form. When you send it, I receive your name, company, project type, deadline, budget and email address. I use them only to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project. They are stored on this site's server and delivered to my inbox through Resend, an email provider.
  • Analytics, only if you allow it. With your permission, Google Analytics 4 counts which pages and projects are visited and which buttons are clicked, so I can tell what's useful. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off. If you say no, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
  • Server logs. The hosting provider and Cloudflare (which delivers the site) keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP address and browser, to keep the site secure and running.

Cookies and local storage

  • _ga and _ga_… (Google Analytics): set only after you allow analytics; they last up to 2 years.
  • dahc-lang: remembers the language you picked; 1 year.
  • dahc-consent (local storage): remembers your cookie choice; 1 year.
  • dahc-palette (local storage): remembers the colours you picked with the Repaint button.

You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Saying no removes the analytics cookies.

How long I keep it

Enquiries are kept while we're in touch and for up to two years afterwards, unless you ask me to delete them sooner. Analytics data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics.

Who else sees it

Only the services named above: the hosting provider, Cloudflare, Resend and, if you allow it, Google. Some of them are based outside your country (for example in the United States). I don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask me to show, correct or delete the data I hold about you, to stop using it, or to send you a copy. Write to hey@danielholguin.com and I'll answer within a month. You can also complain to your data protection authority: in the EU, the one in your country; in Colombia, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC).
