Ruta 01Ruido
Ruido
No hay Silencio Aquí

Parada 01The brief
[What Ruido needed]
RUIDO CLUB is a fictional underground electronic music festival in Medellín: three nights, four stages and one abandoned warehouse in Guayabal. Its tagline is No hay silencio aquí.
The challenge was to build a festival site as loud as the scene it represents that still does the boring jobs well. Visitors need to find artists, plan their nights, buy a ticket and get home safe, and the motion should never get in their way.
Parada 02The build
[How it came together]
The identity started in the building itself: spray stencils on concrete, hazard stripes, loading dock numbers, fluorescent tubes at 4am. I turned that into a strict grid with a hostile surface and gave colour a job. Acid is the festival speaking, pink is you, orange is right now. The system flexes per edition, so the key colour and stencil wear change while everything stays recognisable.
The site is built in Astro and GSAP. It has a filterable lineup, saved artists, a schedule that flags clashes and works properly on mobile, and an edition switcher that repaints the whole site. Every effect sits behind a FULL / CALM / OFF motion switch that respects reduced-motion settings. I also built a recording stage, so each section can be filmed as its own frame-perfect clip.
Parada 03The result
[What changed after launch]
There’s no real festival behind RUIDO (yet), so the result isn’t ticket sales! It’s proof that an expressive, motion-heavy site and a genuinely usable one can be the same site.
